Ballots Rejected In First Election In Texas Under New GOP Voting Laws

The rate of mail-in ballot rejection stands at above 12% in the state primaries after the enactment of new GOP-led voting restrictions and changes. It has been one of the matters that had Texas people talking.

As per Texas Tribune reporter James Barragán, around one out of eight individuals who attempted email-based votes had their ballots rejected. Barragán regards it as a finding that will primarily affect individuals with disabilities and elderly voters who found it difficult to enter the polls.
