Botham Jean’s Killing An Issue In Democratic Nomination

A cease-and-desist letter from Botham Jean’s parents to Democratic representative Jasmine Crockett of Dallas is one of the news stories that politics enthusiasts have been discussing. Dallas police killed Jean four years ago. The other day, Jean’s family demanded that Crockett no longer use his name in a political capacity.

As for Texas Tribune reporter James Barragán, Crockett is in an intense runoff election fight for the nomination from the Democratic Party to possibly succeed Representative Eddie Johnson.

Barragán suggests that there is some amount of controversy in this regard and said that Jean’s relatives are unhappy regarding it.
