Sid Miller Of Texas Expects His Biggest-Ever Political Fight

As of writing this post, voting for the primary on March 01, 2022, is underway in Texas. Sid Miller, the Texas Commissioner of Agriculture, is preparing himself for a big reelection fight.

As per The Texas Tribune’s James Barragán, Democratic and GOP challengers are attacking Miller over his association with his political consultant Todd Smith. For your information, Barragán works as a political reporter for the Texas Tribune. Law enforcement recently indicted Smith on bribery and theft charges over a pay-to-play arrangement for Texas hemp licenses. It is the Office of the Texas Commissioner of Agriculture that administers those forms of licenses.

As for Barragán, Miller has told everyone to keep him out of that and that he does not have any association with the phenomenon. As for his Democratic opponent Susan Hays and Republican opponent James White, Miller must have been aware of something as Smith has long been his political consultant.
